Konkurs za ”Evropski rezidencijalni program za pisce i književne prevoditelje” / Call for application for ”European Residence Programme for Writers and Literary Translators”

Cilj ovog programa jeste dati doprinos bh. kulturnoj sceni, kroz promociju novih, inovativnih programa, te povezivanje iste sa inozemnim piscima i prevoditeljima, koji će nakon boravka u Sarajevu pisati o ovom gradu te postati njegovi kulturni ambasadori, a da se istovremeno bosanskohercegovačkoj publici predstavi književni i prevoditeljski rad gostujućih autora.

Krajnji rok za prijavu je 30. oktobar 2011.

Svi prijavljeni biće obaviješteni o rezultatima putem e-maila najkasnije do 15. decembra 2011.godine.

CALL FOR APPLICATION

for Authors and Translators from South East Europe

The TRADUKI literary network and the Sarajevo Open Centre are inviting you for the application-process for the 2nd year of our European Residence Programme for Writers and Literary Translators. The idea behind the programme is to enable writers and translators to work intensely on their manuscripts for one month, to get acquainted with the social and literary circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while at the same time promoting literature and the work of the visiting translators to the local audience in Sarajevo. The Programme is great success with 8 resindence authors in 2011. 2012, in cooperation with different partners like the the Goethe-Institut, the Austrian Embassy and the Spanish Embassy, at least 10 writers and translators from Europe will visit the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The residence programme will be implemented in cooperation with the residence programmes of the KURS Association in Split, all three of which are co-financed by the TRADUKI literary network.

Writers and literary translators from the following southeast European countries: Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania and Serbia are invited to submit their applications no later than October 30th, 2011. Translators translating from Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian into the languages of the afore-mentioned states, or vice versa, are eligible. The residence should take place in the period from January to December 2012. 6 authors or translators will be invited to Sarajevo. The residence stay includes covered costs for accommodation in the city centre in the duration of one month, travelling expenses and a scholarship in the amount of EUR 800.

The application (in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, English or German) must contain the following:
– CV, with contact data and a proposal for the month of residence in 2012
– bibliography
– a short description of planned activities in Sarajevo
– letter of recommendation (from a publisher/writers’ association/association of translators etc.)
